Terms of Service
Effective 22 April 2026. These terms govern your use of the Gorgon Scout application, the Gorgon Scout server infrastructure, and the gorgoncyber.com website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and Authorisation
Gorgon Scout is a security testing tool. You may only run Scout against computer systems, applications, and networks that you own or that you have explicit written authorisation to test. Before each scan, Scout requires you to confirm that authorisation. You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining that authorisation. Using Scout against systems you are not authorised to test is a breach of these terms and may be a criminal offence in your jurisdiction.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:
- Use the Service against any system or application for which you lack authorisation, including the gorgoncyber.com website itself and the Gorgon Scout server infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of Gorgon Scout, its scriptlet library, or any other component of the Service, except to the minimum extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
- Extract, copy, redistribute, sublicense, publish, or resell the Gorgon Scout scriptlet library or any individual scriptlet.
- Share your account credentials, your Firebase authentication tokens, your Stripe customer identifier, or any session materials issued to you by the Service. Each subscription is personal to one natural person. If multiple people in an organisation need to use Scout, each needs a separate paid subscription.
- Abuse the Service infrastructure, including but not limited to: sending automated requests at a volume that degrades availability for other users, attempting to circumvent authentication, probing the Service servers for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure programme, or using the Service to mount attacks on third parties.
- Use the Service to test malware, build offensive capabilities for unauthorised use, violate the privacy of individuals, or conduct activities that breach applicable law in the jurisdiction where the Service is used or where the target of the scan is located.
- Misrepresent the ownership of authorisation documents presented to the Service.
3. Subscription and Billing
Gorgon Scout is provided on a subscription basis at USD 20 per month, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. A 30 day free trial is available for new accounts that are eligible under our anti-abuse policy; trial accounts are limited to two target applications and do not include any artificial intelligence assisted analysis features. You can cancel, pause, or resume your subscription at any time from within the Gorgon Scout application. Cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the current paid period, after which access to paid features ends. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
4. Service Changes
We may change the Service, add or remove features, or modify the scriptlet library at any time. We may also change the pricing, subject to giving you at least 30 days notice before the change takes effect on your subscription. If you do not accept a price change you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
5. Intellectual Property
Gorgon Scout, the scriptlet library, the gorgoncyber.com website, and all related materials are the intellectual property of Gorgon Cyber Pty. Ltd. Your subscription gives you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the application for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.
6. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@gorgoncyber.com if you suspect your credentials have been compromised.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, abused the Service, or used Scout for unauthorised or unlawful activity. You may delete your account at any time from within the Gorgon Scout application.
8. No Warranty
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Gorgon Cyber Pty. Ltd. makes no warranty that the Service will detect every vulnerability in a target, that results will be free of false positives or false negatives, that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any defect will be corrected. Security testing tools are fallible by nature; you remain responsible for the quality of your security programme.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gorgon Cyber Pty. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Gorgon Cyber Pty. Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your unauthorised testing activity conducted with the Service.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Gorgon Scout evolves. Material changes will be announced in the application itself before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
