One installer sets up the full product: the Scout desktop app, the automation CLI, and an optional connector that lets Claude run scans for you. The .NET runtime is installed automatically if it is missing.

Installing

Takes about a minute. You will see a Windows UAC prompt because Scout installs a network-capture driver.

  1. Run GorgonScoutSetup.exe and approve the Windows security prompt.
  2. On the Claude AI Integration step, leave the connector enabled (it is pre-selected if Claude Desktop is detected) so you can drive scans straight from Claude. You can opt out here.
  3. Finish the wizard. Launch Gorgon Scout and sign in with your Gorgon Cyber account to start your free trial.
  4. If you enabled the connector, restart Claude Desktop once so it picks up Gorgon Scout, then ask it to run a scan.

Claude Desktop, Included

The installer can register Gorgon Scout as a local tool for Claude Desktop. Once enabled, just ask Claude in plain language - for example, “scan my web app at staging.example.com” - and it drives Scout on your machine end to end: profile selection, the scan, live findings, and a Word report.

  • Runs entirely on your PC; your account credentials are never sent to Claude
  • Every scan still requires you to confirm the hostname you are authorised to test
  • Works on any Claude plan, including the free plan

System Requirements

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. About 1.5 GB free disk space. Administrator rights for the one-time driver install. The .NET 9 Desktop Runtime is installed automatically if needed.
